A political science lecturer at the University of Parakou, Dr. Romaric Lucien Badoussi, has shared his perspective on Romuald Wadagni’s recent election.

Speaking to Moustapha Diakhité, Dr. Badoussi questioned whether Wadagni enjoys unanimous support within the ruling majority.

He noted that while Wadagni’s rise reflects strong backing from key political circles, some dissenting voices remain in the background.

The analyst added that the coming weeks will reveal whether the new leadership can consolidate power and push through reforms.
