In this edition of African Hero, we are spotlighting Dr. Jerry Brown, who made extraordinary sacrifices in 2014 and again in 2020 to curb the spread of the deadly Ebola virus in West Africa and the Coronavirus disease.
When the Ebola virus was ravaging his country Liberia, Dr. Brown refused to surrender as he mobilized a few doctors to confront the virus; hence he went on to be recognized as Times’ Magazine Person of the Year in 2014.
