Reactions continue to emerge across Africa following the United States’ military intervention in Venezuela.

During the operation, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife were detained. They are currently standing trial in New York on charges of narcoterrorism.

The Alliance of Sahel States (AES) has strongly condemned the intervention, describing it as unacceptable.

The bloc has called on the United Nations Security Council to intervene in response to the situation.
