After over seven months without representation, voters in Ghana’s Ablekuma North constituency are heading back to the polls today, July 11, for a critical parliamentary rerun.
The election follows a prolonged stalemate across 19 polling stations, which left the seat unfilled. The contest pits Nana Akua Afriyie of the NPP against Ewurabena Aubynn of the NDC.
Both candidates have expressed confidence, with their parties eager to secure the seat amid rising political stakes.
The Electoral Commission says all is set for a transparent process, promising a decisive outcome to end the deadlock.
