A Russian Delegation arrived in the Nigerien capital on Monday after a brief stop in Bamako to meet the transitional president Colonel Assimi Goita.

In Niamey, the delegation led by the deputy Defence minister and new commander of the paramilitary group Wagner was received by junta leader General Abdourahmane Tiani.

The two parties according to the presidency held talks on strengthening military cooperation and signed several agreements.
