I am a huge fan of the Kicker product line. In all of the installs that I have done, the product that I recommend more than anything seems to be Kicker. The reasoning is that they are just more reliable and crisp than any other speaker on the market. That’s just the reality of it. This particular component setup is a lightweight, multiple setup component system. By multiple setup I mean that you can mount them in a large variety of ways. The Kit includes everything that you need to install them in multiple ways throughout your vehicle. However, for the most part you should be able to just replace your factory speakers with these ones. These speakers include heavy venting to ensure proper cooling and air movement. One of the biggest issues with lower grade systems is that they are pushed to their limit, but aren’t given enough airflow in order to cool the system. This means that they are more likely to blow, because they are being substantially overworked. With the great cooling setup within these speakers, this definitely isn’t an issue. Sound Quality This is actually one of the better sets on the market for sound quality. I have found that in the several installations that I have used them in, they consistently produce a crisp, clean sound. My recommendation however is to ensure that you are using some type of sound deadening material such as Dynamat on your doors in order to deaden the vibration. These speakers provide enough power against your door that you will hear a substantial rattle unless you are proactive in covering your door. This doesn’t mean that you should use the spray, that is a cheap way of doing it and doesn’t render quality results. If you are going to pay money for a system, do it right, and shell out the money to do a proper install. Otherwise, you might as well just leave your factory system in tact. The songs that you thought sounded great before will sound theater quality once you bring them into your vehicle with these speakers. The biggest thing you are going to need to ensure is that you have enough power to push these. If you don’t, then you are going to want to purchase an amplified in order to adequately power the speakers. However the size of amplifier depends upon the number of systems you want to install. I generally install a set on each door, which would be two complete kits.
