In Côte d’Ivoire, Amnesty International has condemned the continued detention of several individuals arrested during opposition protests in October 2025.

Among those reportedly still in custody are pregnant women and others who allegedly had no involvement in the demonstrations.

The human rights organization says some detainees are being held in deplorable health conditions while in prison.

The group is raising concerns over the treatment and prolonged detention of the individuals following the protests.
