In Côte d’Ivoire, West African leaders, experts and civil society representatives are meeting in Abidjan to reflect on the future of ECOWAS.
The four-day conference, which began on Tuesday, seeks to chart a new direction for the subregional body over the next 50 years.
In his opening address, the Ivorian Minister of African Integration, Adama Dosso, said economic integration in the region has yet to reach its full potential.
