In Ghana, the Ghana Revenue Authority has confirmed the arrest of nine state officers following the interception of a large consignment of undeclared tramadol at the Tema Port.
Those arrested include five Customs officers, along with one officer each from the Narcotics Control Commission, the Ghana Standards Authority, the Energy Commission and Port Security.
The Customs Division described the shipment as a major seizure, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the consignment.
