Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission says preparations for the 2027 general elections are firmly on course, expressing confidence that the polls will rank among the best conducted in the country’s history.
INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan says the commission has begun early groundwork to ensure the elections are credible, transparent, and better organized than previous exercises.
The electoral body maintains that its proactive planning is aimed at strengthening public trust in the process.
