The Guinean Government, through the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, has directed all legally recognized political parties to comply with a new regulatory framework by May 25, 2026.

Under reforms adopted in late 2025, parties have a six-month window to implement the required changes.

Authorities warn that failure to comply within the deadline could result in the permanent revocation of party status.

Sankullah Janko reports.
