The Ghana Revenue Authority has interdicted five officers of its Customs Division following the interception of 18 articulated trucks suspected to be involved in a transit diversion scheme.

Authorities say the alleged operation exposed the state to more than 85 million cedis in potential revenue losses.

The action is part of a broader government crackdown on smuggling and abuse within Ghana’s transit trade regime.

WADR’s Accra Correspondent, Naa Dedei Tettey, reports.
