The Liberian government has formalized a collaborative framework to support the integration of Ivorian refugees and other displaced nationals into society.
The landmark Memorandum of Understanding is aimed at streamlining the implementation of Executive Orders No. 144 and 147, providing durable solutions for refugees who have chosen Liberia as their home.
Observers say the initiative highlights Liberia’s commitment to responsible migration governance and offers a rights-based pathway to regularize the legal status of integrated refugees.
