In Mali, the Bamako Military Tribunal on Tuesday examined two separate cases involving the diversion and illegal sale of weapons.

The cases concern two members of the Malian Armed Forces accused of acts described as a serious threat to national security.

At the conclusion of proceedings, the court sentenced one soldier to three years in prison, while the second case was adjourned for further hearing.
