Nigeria’s Federal Government is facing a lawsuit at the ECOWAS Court over alleged alterations to tax laws.

A group of businesses and investors filed the suit, arguing that the recent changes violate provisions of the ECOWAS Treaty.

The petition comes as the Central Bank of Nigeria announced a reduction in its benchmark interest rate.
