In Benin, a high-level delegation from the National Democratic Institute has concluded its pre-election assessment mission ahead of the presidential polls slated for next April.
After extensive consultations with political actors and other key stakeholders, the delegation is urging urgent political dialogue to ease tensions and safeguard the credibility of the electoral process.
The Institute stresses that inclusive engagement and confidence-building measures will be critical to ensuring peaceful and transparent elections.
