In Guinea, the Appeals Chamber of the Court for the Repression of Economic and Financial Offences (CRIEF) was unable to proceed with two high-profile cases as scheduled.

The matters involve former Prime Minister Ibrahima Kassory Fofana and former Defence Minister Mohamed Diané, both of whom served under ex-president Alpha Condé.

The session ended without progress after the Special Prosecutor’s Office failed to appear in court. As a result, the judges adjourned the hearings.

The cases have now been rescheduled for March 5, 2026.
