A new initiative examining the role of money in politics has been launched in Senegal, placing youth perspectives and democratic reform at the centre of national debate.
The project, unveiled on Tuesday and led by the Peace-Consult Group, will explore how financial influence shapes political power dynamics and affects young people’s engagement in governance.
Over a two-year period, the initiative will conduct field research, organise focus group discussions, and host university seminars to gather insights from young citizens on political financing practices in the country.
Organisers say the findings are expected to contribute to broader conversations on transparency, accountability, and the future of democracy in Senegal.
