Civil society organizations in Guinea-Bissau have condemned the approval of a draft constitutional revision adopted by military authorities who seized power in November 2025.

While the country retains its semi-presidential system, the revised constitution significantly expands the powers of the president.

CSO actors argue that the amendment process was non-inclusive and carried out without broad public consultation.
