The Central Bank of The Gambia says remittances from citizens living abroad exceeded eight hundred and seventy-two million US dollars in 2025, highlighting the growing role of the diaspora in the national economy.
The figure was announced on Tuesday during the National Forum held in Banjul.
According to the Bank, diaspora remittances continue to support households while also contributing to broader economic development across the country.
