The Tema Regional Police Command in Ghana has arrested two suspects and seized more than 1,600 parcels of substances believed to be narcotic drugs.
The arrest and seizure followed an intelligence-led operation conducted along the Akosombo–Tema road.
Police say arrangements are underway to process the suspects for court, as the Tema Regional Police Command steps up efforts to combat drug trafficking and other criminal activities.
