The Burkinabe Transitional government on Monday announced a cabinet reshuffle, appointing two new ministers and renaming several ministries as part of a broader government reorganization.
Jean Emmanuel Ouedrago remains Head of Government and will continue to work with a 22-member cabinet, including five women.
Among the key changes, the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs has been renamed the Ministry of War and Patriotic Defence, with General Célestin Simporé reappointed as Minister of State.
Annick Pickbougoum Zingué has been appointed Minister of Sports and Leisure, while Moumouni Zoungrana takes over as Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, as other ministries were simplified or renamed without changes in leadership.
