Guinea’s General Directorate of Elections has proclaimed General Mamady Doumbouya the provisional winner of the December 28, 2025 presidential election.
Announcing the results on Tuesday evening, the electoral authority said 98.84 percent of polling station results had been centralized nationwide.
According to official figures, General Doumbouya secured 4,594,262 votes, representing 86.72 percent of valid ballots cast, giving him an outright majority.
He contested the election under the banner of the GMD movement, Generation for Modernity and Development, and was formally declared provisional winner pending any legal challenges.
