In Ghana, the government is set to develop a National Emoluments Policy to tackle persistent salary and compensation disparities across the public sector.
President John Dramani Mahama announced the initiative during a high-level dialogue with organized labour at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The move comes amid renewed labour unrest, including recent protests by the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana.
Authorities say the policy aims to address longstanding concerns about inequities in public sector pay structures.
