Ghana’s National Labour Commission has directed senior staff unions in public universities to immediately suspend their indefinite strike over conditions of service and pay-related concerns.

The Commission warned that negotiations cannot continue while the industrial action remains in force, urging the unions to return to the bargaining table.

The strike has disrupted academic and administrative activities across several campuses, affecting registration, procurement services, and examination schedules. Naa Dedei Tettey reports.
