In Mali, Youssouf Toloba, Chief of Staff of the self-defence group Dan Na Ambassagou, has spoken out against the possibility of negotiating with armed groups in the Bandiagara region.

During a recent media appearance, Toloba accused some village chiefs of entering into what he described as illusory agreements with armed actors.

He called for unity and the mobilisation of traditional Dozo hunters to continue the fight against terrorism.
