In Liberia, more than 700 residents affected by a recent demolition exercise in Monrovia are alleging violations of their rights and demanding justice.
On Tuesday, the aggrieved residents erected roadblocks along major streets leading to the National Legislature, disrupting traffic as they sought to draw attention to their situation.
The protest follows a mass demolition carried out last Saturday by armed police officers accompanied by court sheriffs, an operation that left several residents homeless.
