Ghana’s Ministry of the Interior has launched a nationwide e-recruitment portal to streamline and harmonize the hiring process across all security and public safety agencies. The system is designed to eliminate inconsistencies and bring much-needed transparency to how applicants are assessed and admitted.

The portal covers key institutions including the Ghana Police Service, Prisons Service, National Fire Service, Immigration Service, Narcotics Control Commission, NADMO, and the Gaming Commission. With the new system, the Ministry aims to centralize recruitment processes that were previously managed separately by each agency.

Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak, speaking at a press briefing on Friday, November 14, said the digital platform would ensure fairness, efficiency, and equal opportunity for qualified applicants nationwide. He emphasized that the transition marks an important step toward modernizing public safety institutions.

To align with the rollout, the Ministry has postponed the nationwide security services recruitment exercise—originally set for Saturday, November 15—to Monday, November 17. The additional time will allow applicants to adapt to the digital system and ensure a smoother transition into the new e-recruitment era.
