The European Union has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening relations with Nigeria across political, economic, and humanitarian fronts.
EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Gautier Mignot, conveyed this message during a visit to the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, where he held discussions with lawmakers on ongoing cooperation and future partnerships.
Ambassador Mignot emphasized that the EU sees Nigeria as a key strategic partner in West Africa and expressed optimism about expanding collaboration in trade, governance, and regional security.
The visit highlights the EU’s intent to build a more robust, mutually beneficial relationship that aligns with Nigeria’s development priorities.
