Resident doctors across Nigeria have declared an indefinite strike set to begin on November 1, 2025.

The doctors’ association says the move follows the federal government’s failure to address persistent welfare and training concerns, despite a 30-day ultimatum.

The strike is expected to significantly disrupt healthcare services nationwide if urgent action is not taken to resolve the impasse.
