In Nigeria, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its two-week warning strike after fresh negotiations with the Federal Government and the National Assembly.
The decision follows renewed assurances from authorities to resolve long-standing challenges affecting public universities, including funding, welfare, and implementation of previous agreements.
ASUU leaders say they will closely monitor the government’s commitment before deciding on future actions.
