This week’s edition highlights challenges ofAccess and Utilization of Veterinary Services for Livestock in Liberia and Nigeria.
Livestock is the backbone of many economies, providing food, livelihoods, and economic stability.
In West Africa, for example, more than 60 million people depend on livestock.
However, the health and well-being of these animals are constantly threatened by diseases, some of which are exacerbated by climate change or poor biosafety standards and inadequate care, as well as a lack of access to vaccines.
The latter is a major challenge in almost in countries of West Africa, as you get to hear in the program.
