Catholic Bishops in Togo have spoken out against what they describe as a growing climate of intimidation and violence in the country’s socio-political landscape.
In a statement released after the 140th ordinary session of the Togolese Bishops Conference, held from October 14 to 19 in Dapaong, the clergy warned that such actions threaten national unity and social cohesion.
The Bishops called on political actors to embrace dialogue and peace, urging authorities to ensure an environment that respects fundamental rights and fosters national harmony.
