The sustainable growth, development and transformation of the African continent remain paramount for all those who believe in the spirit of Pan-Africanism, this is deeply rooted in the believe of leadership and its efficiency.
However, with some current leaders involved in various scandals and showing apathy towards patriotism, and integrity, African youths, particularly west Africans are at a across of uncertainty and confused as present leadership or political mentors are a blend of people with and without integrity.
While it’s ideal for young people tochoose mentors who reflect the principles of honesty, justice, and empathy, they are also likely to vulnerable to be mentors who do not exhibit any of these qualities.
A situation that could make the future of Africa grimmer, hence worth talking about on our youthful exchange program today.
We ask, what should be some of the qualities a young person should identity in a political mentor, do you believe that current west African leaders do serve as good role models for the youth?
Are politicians with integrity easily accessible to the youth and finally will Africa have sustained leadership with current mentees?
