Lawmakers described the situation as a national crisis, stressing that the continuous mistreatment of migrants threatens both the nation’s human capital and international reputation.

They have called for stronger bilateral agreements, improved border control, and enhanced awareness campaigns to protect Nigerians seeking opportunities abroad.
