Togo’s National Assembly has resumed parliamentary activities with the opening of its second ordinary session for the year. The solemn ceremony, held on Tuesday, was presided over by Assembly President Kodjo Adéd-zé.
Over the next three months, lawmakers are expected to deliberate on key national issues, including the 2025 national budget and several policy reforms. The session will also feature capacity-building seminars for Members of Parliament on public finance, the social economy, and ecological transition.
The reopening of Parliament comes amid growing civic engagement and calls for progress on national priorities such as the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda.
