The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board has approved a disbursement of US$26.5 million, equivalent to SDR 19.3 million, for Liberia under its Extended Credit Facility (ECF) arrangement.
The decision follows the conclusion of Article IV Consultation and the second review of Liberia’s 40-month ECF program, which was first approved in September 2024.
According to the IMF, the disbursement will boost the reserves of the Central Bank of Liberia and help strengthen macroeconomic stability.
With this latest release, total disbursements to Liberia under the ECF program now stand at US$79.4 million, or SDR 57.9 million.
