President John Dramani Mahama has announced that Ghana will ratify the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime this month, marking a major step in strengthening the nation’s defenses against online threats.

The move is aimed at boosting the country’s capacity to combat diverse forms of cybercrime while ensuring offenders face justice.

According to the President, the treaty will also deepen Ghana’s collaboration with international partners, reflecting the cross-border nature of cyberattacks.

Officials say the ratification underscores Ghana’s commitment to cybersecurity as digital activity continues to expand.
