As the 80th session of the UN General Assembly opened in New York, Liberia’s President Joseph Boakai used the platform to reaffirm his government’s commitment to gender equality and youth empowerment.
Speaking at the Fourth World Conference on Women, which preceded the high-level debates, President Boakai pledged to move from promises to tangible results in implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
He underscored Liberia’s focus on inclusive development, stressing that empowering women and young people is central to sustaining peace, growth, and resilience in the country.
