President John Mahama has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to dialogue between ECOWAS and the three Sahelian countries that recently quit the bloc to form the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
Speaking at the Jubilee House after receiving Germany’s new ambassador, Mahama said the growing threat of terrorism in the Sahel could destabilize the entire West African sub-region if not addressed collectively.
He stressed that solidarity and joint security measures are vital to protect lives, maintain stability, and strengthen regional cooperation.
