The 10th ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum wrapped up in Banjul, bringing together governments, partners, and civil society to push for a faster shift toward clean energy in West Africa.
The two-day event, which coincided with ECOWAS’s 50th anniversary, spotlighted green hydrogen, clean cooking solutions, and efforts to strengthen the regional electricity market.
Participants agreed that accelerating the energy transition is crucial for powering inclusive growth and addressing the climate crisis across the region.
