Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has raised alarm over the worsening conditions faced by community radio journalists in the Sahel.

The warning comes through a new documentary, Community Radios: Their Fight to Inform the Sahel, which highlights the daily risks of reporters in Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.

The 26-minute film shows journalists battling threats such as murder attempts, abduction, arbitrary arrests, and lack of resources, all while striving to keep their communities informed.

The launch in Dakar on Thursday drew media professionals, state officials, and civil society stakeholders, who echoed calls for stronger protections.
