Nearly 30 million voters across Malawi, Guinea, Seychelles, and Gabon are set to cast their ballots this September in elections viewed as critical for democracy and political transition.

Malawi kicks off on September 16 with general elections to choose a president, parliament, and local representatives from over 7.2 million registered voters.

Guinea follows on September 21 with a constitutional referendum proposing a seven-year renewable presidential term and the creation of a Senate, marking a key post-coup milestone.

Seychelles holds combined presidential and legislative polls from September 25 to 27, while Gabon concludes the month on September 27 with its first legislative and municipal elections since the 2023 coup.
