A new opposition group, the “Sonko Must Go Movement” (MSD), has emerged in Senegal, calling for the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
Launched on Sunday, the movement accuses Sonko of undermining the proper functioning of the State and insists leadership changes are needed to protect democracy.
The development adds fresh political tension in Senegal, where Sonko’s rise to power has already sparked heated debate among citizens and political actors.
