The only area where younger citizens show strong involvement is in protests, highlighting a preference for more direct forms of activism.
Researchers warn that these generational gaps pose serious challenges for political participation on the world’s most youthful continent. Without meaningful avenues for engagement, governments risk alienating a significant portion of their population.
