Guinea and Mali are stepping up efforts to strengthen cooperation along their shared border, focusing on enhancing security and boosting trade between the two West African nations.

A high-level technical meeting was held on Wednesday in Conakry to discuss measures aimed at improving the movement of people and goods across the border. Officials from both sides explored ways to streamline trade processes while ensuring effective border security.

The talks were presided over by Guinea’s Minister of Security and Civil Protection, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering regional integration and economic growth through closer bilateral ties.
