The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has suspended flights to Solle in northwestern Burkina Faso following an explosion near a helicopter it had chartered.
The incident occurred shortly after the aircraft landed on Tuesday, injuring a crew member and a government official. Both victims are currently receiving medical care.
Although the helicopter sustained only light damage, WFP confirmed it has been safely relocated as investigations into the cause of the blast continue.
