Lomé, the capital of Togo, is hosting a major international forum on food sovereignty, bringing together young voices from across West Africa.
Running from August 6 to 10, the event is focused on building a strategic and inclusive dialogue around the continent’s food systems. Participants are sharing ideas, experiences, and solutions aimed at empowering African communities to control their own food production and distribution.
The forum highlights the urgent need to rethink agricultural policies, support local farmers, and reduce dependency on foreign imports.
By centering youth in the conversation, the event is fostering leadership and innovation in the fight for sustainable food sovereignty across Africa.
