Listeners in Jos, Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, have lauded West Africa Democracy Radio’s In The Sahel programme for fostering dialogue and raising awareness on security challenges facing communities.
The feedback came during an evaluation mission assessing the show’s impact, with many participants highlighting its role in providing credible information and encouraging community engagement on peace and security.
Produced with support from the Open Society Foundations (OSF), the programme addresses complex security issues across the region through expert analysis and local perspectives.
The organizers say the positive reception in Jos reflects the programme’s growing influence in promoting informed conversations on safety and stability in West Africa.
