Beninese President Patrice Talon on Tuesday hosted Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye in Cotonou for a friendly and working visit focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The two leaders held talks at the state house, agreeing to deepen ties between Benin and Senegal in key areas such as trade and regional security.

This visit is part of President Diomaye Faye’s ongoing tour of West Africa, just over a year since taking office. It also marks his first official trip to Benin.

Both sides hailed the meeting as a step toward greater integration and collaboration between their countries.
